Topics include: (1) How to Screw Up a Good Lease: Interplay of Indemnification, Subrogation, and Insurance; (2) Preparing a Contract for Litigation; Choice of Law and Venue; Arbitration v. Litigation; Arbitration Panels (AAA, FINRA, governing law); (3) Tips from the Pros : Negotiation Strategy in General (including due diligence on deals); (4) NDAs, Confidentiality, Restrictive Covenants, and Representations; (5) Information Security, Privacy, Data Protection, Representations & Warranties (keep in mind with arbitration v. litigation).


A Social Hour hosted by the Woods Fuller law firm will be held following the programming at 4PM. This CLE will be held in Sioux Falls.

Missouri River Energy Services

Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) was formed in the early 1960s under the name Missouri Basin Municipal Power Agency (MBMPA). Its mission was to help municipalities that operated their own electric systems to work together in planning for future power supply needs and solving other mutual problems. The name was changed to Missouri River Energy Services in 1998, but the organization's mission remains the same. MRES was the first multi-state joint-action agency, and the third overall, to be established in the United States.
